The Tyne Bar has been a mainstay of Newcastle's independent pub scene since November 1994, when it helped to kick-start the reinvention of the city's Ouseburn Valley.
Operated by the same people who brought you the legendary Barley Mow and the Egypt Cottage, now sadly no more, the pub boasts a signature free jukebox, a wonderful drinks selection, a busy programme of free gigs and events, and our famous heated beer garden beneath the bridge.
Our menu includes everything from international dishes to gourmet hot dogs, burritos, nachos and healthy salads – as well as daily specials, vegan dishes, and a different Free Food menu every Tuesday at 7pm-9pm.
We are completely and utterly devoted to free live music at The Tyne Bar. Check out our famous jukebox, our DJ nights, and our purpose-built stage where local bands bask in the spotlight and get the beer garden rocking.
