Located in the heart of Newcastle’s Ouseburn Valley, the city’s cultural oasis, The Tyne Bar has been a local favourite for more than two decades.
Famous for its laidback atmosphere and an unwavering commitment to FREE live music, The Tyne Bar is the product of more than 30 years’ experience in the Newcastle pub scene… and we think the pedigree shows.
Operated by the same people who brought you the legendary Barley Mow and the Egypt Cottage in its pre-wine bar heyday, the pub boasts a signature FREE jukebox, a waterside location, and a distinctive beer garden framed by the redbrick arch of Glasshouse Bridge.
Our menu includes everything from international dishes to gourmet hot dogs, burritos, nachos and healthy salads – as well as daily specials, vegan dishes, and a different Free Food menu every Tuesday at 7pm-9pm.
We strive to keep our drinks selection fresh, diverse, and interesting. From hyper-local craft beers with complex flavours to international beers that fire the imagination, as well as quality wines and spirits, we've got it covered.
