Spanish Battery

They've been playing here for years and we always look forward to their return...but for the uninitiated: Spanish Battery is a blues and rock band from Newcastle, known for their mix of classic blues and rock, with influences from the Chicago blues scene and local North East talent. The band's name is inspired by the historic "Spanish Battery" gun battery that once defended the mouth of the River Tyne.

The band plays a mix of blues and rock music, incorporating elements from artists like the Black Keys, Red Devils, and Rolling Stones, alongside traditional blues classics.
